Insurance registrations for Nio (NYSE: NIO) vehicles in China were 5,400 for the week of May 20-26, according to data shared today by Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI).
Li Auto stopped sharing weekly insurance registrations earlier this year, and after about a year of doing so, it resumed sharing those numbers in early May. The company did not share numbers from this month as it had done previously.
Li Auto had 8,600 insurance registrations last week, Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) had 1,900 and Xiaomi (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY) had 2,700.
Tesla’s insurance registrations in China last week were 13,100 vehicles to BYD’s 55,000.
