Electrification options supplier Vitesco Applied sciences has secured a provide of energy-efficient silicon carbide (SiC) energy semiconductors via a long-term contract with Japanese digital components producer ROHM. The contract is price over $1 billion and runs till 2030.
This provide collaboration relies on a 2020 growth settlement with ROHM. Two prospects will use Vitesco Applied sciences’ superior inverters with built-in ROHM SiC chips in EV powertrains. Vitesco will present a primary sequence challenge in 2024.
