German automotive producer Rheinmetall has introduced a pilot venture with the Metropolis of Cologne and German electromobility companies supplier TankE to put in curbstone charger infrastructure in public streets starting this summer season.
Rheinmetall says the purpose is to combine and take a look at Rheinmetall curbstone chargers in two components of the town for the aim of assessing public acceptance and design options.
Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger says the corporate’s curbstone chargers “assist to beat a significant hurdle within the transformation to better e-mobility whereas mixing nearly invisibly into the city panorama.”
