The vehicle has a refreshed design. The front part gives a futuristic yet wide feel centered around daytime running lights (DRL) with Kia’s new family look, ‘Star Map Signature Lighting’, and connects the hood’s character line to the bottom of the vehicle and applies a wing-shaped bumper design for a more dynamic look and feel.
The side part creates a more sophisticated atmosphere with newly designed wheels that reflects the design concept of modern contrast and gives a sophisticated yet sturdy feel. The rear part applies wide star map lighting to the rear combination lamp to enhance the futuristic feel, and a wing-shaped design similar to the front bumper was applied to the lower part of the rear bumper to create a unified, dynamic feel. The Kia EV6 GT features a differentiated exterior design, including changing the front and rear bumpers to a sportier shape and adding a front LED center positioning lamp and exclusive 20-inch wheels.
The EV6 is available in 8 exterior colors, including the new Ivory Matte Silver, Snow White Pearl, Interstellar Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier, Moonscape Matt Gray, Yacht Blue, and Runway Red. For the interior of the GT model five exterior colors are available: Wolf Gray, Yacht Matt Blue, Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, and Runway Red.
The EV6’s interior is based on the existing horizontal design and applies new design elements to create a more luxurious and modern atmosphere. Kia applied a more sophisticated panoramic curved display to the EV6, giving it a clean and wide feel, and further emphasized the horizontal shape of the interior with new ambient lighting with dynamic graphics.
In addition, along with a new steering wheel that emphasizes a sophisticated feel, a new pattern was applied to the crash pad to enhance the sporty feel, a fingerprint authentication system was added to the center console, and a wireless charging pad with an improved structure was applied to prevent the smartphone from moving. Customer convenience has also been improved. The EV6 is available in four interior colors – Medium Gray, Green & Light Gray, Toffee Brown, etc. For the GT-Line model, exclusive colors Black & White are applied.
Kia has installed an 84 kWh 4th generation battery with increased energy density in the EV6 to increase the driving range on a single charge and enhance ride comfort and quietness to provide an improved driving experience. The range of the Kia EV6 2WD model with 19″ rims is increased from 475 km to 494 km.
In addition, although the battery capacity has increased, by increasing the fast charging speed, it is possible to charge up to 80% (10% -> 80%) of the battery capacity within 18 minutes when using 350 kW ultra-fast charging as before.
EV6 improved riding comfort on rough roads by tuning the previously applied ‘frequency-sensitive shock absorber’, optimized motor noise control, and increased quietness by expanding the sound absorption and sound area of the rear motor, improving overall driving sensibility. raised it
In addition, excellent safety was secured by strengthening the body rigidity by increasing the thickness of the B-pillar and applying a 10-airbag system that added second-row side airbags. The EV6 is also equipped with the next-generation infotainment system, ‘ccNC (connected car navigation cockpit)’, providing a more convenient travel experience.
Kia has applied a variety of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to the EV6 to enhance driver convenience, as well as convenience features that are highly preferred by customers.
