Milence, the collaboration between Daimler Truck, TRATON GROUP, and Volvo Group, has launched its first public charging hub within the UK, situated in Immingham. This marks an vital development within the effort to decarbonise heavy-duty transport.

The Immingham hub is strategically situated on the A180, with direct hyperlinks to the M180, M18, and M1 motorways, making it well-suited for transport and logistics operations that join the UK with Europe. The hub facilitates over 30 sailings per week, together with Ro-Ro (roll-on/roll-off) and Lo-Lo (lift-on/lift-off) providers, taking part in a crucial function within the UK’s commerce connections to Northern Europe, Scandinavia, and the Baltic areas.

In its preliminary section, the Immingham hub options 4 high-performance CCS chargers, offering entry to eight charging bays and providing an influence output of as much as 400kW. The location is designed for each vehicles and drivers to recharge, emphasizing driver consolation and security, with safe fenced parking, managed entry, digicam surveillance, and important facilities reminiscent of restrooms and merchandising machines.
