Japanese automaker Honda has unveiled the specs for its Subsequent Era Gasoline Cell Module and Gasoline Cell Energy Generator on the H2 & FC EXPO, the twenty third Worldwide Hydrogen & Gasoline Cell Expo, happening at Tokyo Huge Sight, Japan.

The mass manufacturing of the Honda Subsequent Era Gasoline Cell Module is about to start in 2027, whereas the Honda Gasoline Cell Energy Generator is predicted to begin manufacturing in 2026. The Subsequent Era Gasoline Cell Module is independently developed by Honda as a successor to its present mannequin, which was collectively created with Basic Motors.

This new module will obtain a rated output of 150 kW, with manufacturing prices halved and sturdiness greater than doubled in comparison with the prevailing mannequin. Moreover, it has been downsized by growing the volumetric energy density by over thrice, enhancing set up flexibility.

By broadening its utility domains and gross sales areas for this next-generation gas cell module, Honda goals to contribute considerably to the event of a sustainable, energy-oriented society.

Honda Subsequent Era Gasoline Cell Module Specs:

  • Most Output (Web): 150 kW
  • Output Voltage: 450 – 850 V
  • Most Effectivity (Web): 59.8%
  • FC Refrigerant: Honda Real FC refrigerant
  • Hydrogen Gasoline Composition: Equal to ISO 14687
  • Low Voltage Energy Provide: DC 24V
  • Module Dimensions: W730 x D580 x H700 mm
  • Quantity / Volumetric Density: 300 L / 0.50 kW/L
  • Weight / Weight Density: 250 kg / 0.60 kW/kg
  • Working Temperature: -30℃ – +60℃
  • Storage Temperature: -40℃ – +60℃
  • Max Altitude: 3,500 m
  • Ingress Safety Ranking: Equal to IP67
  • CAN Communication Customary: ISO11898
  • Communication Protocol: SAE J1939 / Honda Hello-Velocity CAN (selectable)
  • Suitable Communication Speeds: 500 kbps

The Honda Gasoline Cell Energy Generator, scheduled for mass manufacturing in 2026, is a stationary energy storage system designed to ship hydrogen-derived, clear electrical energy to giant amenities like factories and workplaces. It employs the identical gas cell expertise used within the Honda CR-V e:FCEV gas cell car.

The compact design of the Honda Gasoline Cell Energy Generator, achieved by optimizing its cooling system and inside structure, permits it to suit seamlessly into quite a lot of set up environments. Moreover, it’s engineered to offer dependable backup energy, beginning to provide electrical energy inside 10 seconds of activation.

Past assembly energy calls for with this product, Honda is dedicated to supporting its clients’ decarbonization efforts by providing complete help that features set up and after-sales service.
