BT Group announces the UK’s largest ever EV fleet order

BT Group has revealed the most important business electrical car fleet order within the UK, with roughly 3,500 new EVs being acquired to reinforce the nation’s largest broadband and cellular networks. As soon as this newest order is fulfilled in 2026, BT Group will function the most important fleet of electrical autos within the UK, totaling practically 8,000.

The corporate, which incorporates Openreach—the UK’s main wholesale broadband supplier—manages the second largest business car fleet within the UK, using over 27,000 autos for engineers nationwide.

As we amplify our full fiber rollout from 16 million houses and companies as we speak to 25 million by the tip of 2026, having probably the most environment friendly, sustainable electrical autos will give our engineers a bonus in connecting clients rapidly to our next-generation networks. Our trendy fleet will improve our effectivity and enhance service for our clients.”

The brand new autos will likely be sourced from 4 producers—Ford, Stellantis, Toyota, and Renault—over the subsequent two years.
