Regardless of the give attention to electrification, DPD UK continues to make use of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), or biofuels, noting that 95 % of its transport fleet operates on HVO, which reduces emissions by 83 % in comparison with conventional diesel. In different international locations like Switzerland, DPD has already begun using electrical vans and transporting packages through electrified rail routes. Globally, the corporate goals for net-zero emissions by 2040.

DPD operates over 10,000 autos and maintains 85 areas all through the UK, delivering over 400 million parcels yearly. Their sustainability web site reviews that they’ve accomplished over 77 million electrical deliveries this yr alone.
