TDK Electronics, a Japanese electronics firm, has launched two new collection of NTC thermistors: the L862 (B57862L) with versatile wires, and the L871 (B57871L) that includes a selected lead spacing. These parts are designed to be used in automotive and industrial functions.

These thermistors are appropriate for a spread of makes use of, together with automotive battery packs, energy banks, power storage methods, and drones. They’re characterised by a fast response time and excessive measurement accuracy.

Each collection are lead-free and might function inside a temperature vary of -40° C to +155° C, with tolerances of ±1% and ±3%, respectively. At room temperature, the utmost energy dissipation for each collection is 60 mW. They’re out there in numerous rated resistances, starting from 1 kΩ to 100 kΩ, and totally different resistance-temperature (R/T) traits. After enduring 10,000 hours at +70° C, the resistance deviation at room temperature (R25) is lower than 3%.

The L862 sensor ingredient, which has a black epoxy coating, measures simply 2.6 x 6.5 mm (D x H) and options insulated leads made from silver-plated nickel wire (AWG 30, Ø 0.25 mm). The overall size of the sensor, together with wires, is 50 mm, with 6 mm of it stripped. The dissipation issue (δth) for this sensor is 1.4 mW/Ok, whereas its thermal cooling time fixed (τc) is 14 seconds.

Equally, the L871 sensor ingredient can also be coated in black epoxy and has dimensions of two.8 x 6.0 mm (D x H). It makes use of copper-clad metal wires (Ø 0.4 mm) with a 2.5 mm spacing. The dissipation issue for the L871 sensor is 3 mW/Ok, and it has a thermal cooling time fixed of 9 seconds.
