Mercedes-Benz EVs to Access Tesla Superchargers in February
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Mercedes-Benz has revealed that its electrical automobiles (EVs) in america may have entry to Tesla’s Supercharger community beginning in February. This community consists of greater than 20,000 charging stations. For drivers in Canada, entry to Tesla Superchargers will start in 2025.

The German automaker introduced in July that it could be adopting Tesla’s North American Charging Customary (NACS), and the entry date has now been confirmed.

This integration will allow Mercedes-Benz EVs to make the most of Tesla Superchargers by way of the Mercedes me Cost service. This may facilitate the “Plug & Cost” function, permitting the automobile to routinely start charging and deal with funds upon connection.

For present Mercedes-Benz EVs that presently use the CCS1 charging normal, an adapter might be made accessible at dealerships in early 2025. Priced at $185 within the U.S., this adapter will enable these automobiles to hook up with Tesla Superchargers. Particulars relating to pricing and availability in Canada might be supplied nearer to the launch date.

From 2025 onward, all new Mercedes-Benz EVs in North America will come geared up with the Tesla-designed NACS port, eliminating the necessity for an adapter altogether.

By incorporating Tesla Superchargers, Mercedes-Benz enhances its already in depth charging community, which incorporates partnerships with Electrify America, ChargePoint, and others. This growth will increase the entire variety of charging factors accessible to Mercedes-Benz drivers in North America to over 110,000.
